- 🏋️ Personal Training Promo | All month long: Enjoy a 15% discount on a 3-Pack of Personal Training sessions throughout October. Let our friendly and experienced trainers guide you on your fitness journey.
- 🦃 Thanksgiving Reduced Hours | Oct 9: Please note that UBC Recreation's Sports Facilities will have adjusted hours for the Thanksgiving Long Weekend on October 9th.
- 🚶♀ Wellbeing Walks | Oct 11 & 25: Join us for two invigorating wellbeing walks this month, hosted by the Move U Crew! Take in the serene oceanside scenery during the Tower Beach Walk and find tranquility in UBC's authentic Japanese Garden during the Nitobe Garden Tour.
- 💦 Water Wars | Oct 12: Escape the chilly weather and dive into a night of indoor fun at the UBC Aquatic Centre. Compete with your friends in a variety of challenges, including inner tube water polo. Be sure to register by October 10 to secure your spot.
- 🥌 Term 2 Events & League Registration Opens | Oct 16: Winter is approaching, and it's time to plan your social calendar. Explore our Term 2 Intramural Events and adult leagues, including exciting additions like pickleball and badminton. Secure your spot early, as our intramural leagues fill up quickly!
- 🫀 Kickstart a Heart | Oct 16: UBC Recreation, in collaboration with Heart and Stroke Canada and the AMS Heart and Stroke Club, presents the 'World Restart A Heart' event. Join us for this free event, where you can choose from various time slots to learn the basics of hands-only CPR and other life-saving techniques.
- 🥗 Lunch + Lift | Oct 17: Join our Lunch + Lift session, a unique 2-in-1 interactive wellbeing workshop. It includes a 30-minute movement class followed by a 30-minute information session led by a UBC wellbeing professional. This month's session covers the topic of commuting to UBC's campus via bike.
- 🏃 The Great Trek | Oct 28: Calling all runners! Embark on the Great Trek this fall, with race course options of 5, 10, or 21.1 kilometers across the stunning UBC campus, situated on Musqueam Territory.
